Aruna Narayan is the daughter of legendary Pandit Ram Narayan. Though she began her sarangi training at a relatively late age of eighteen, she studied intensely under her father for many years and quickly absorbed his baaj. She is the only woman to play this ancient instrument professionally and has given numerous concerts all over the world. She currently resides in Toronto where she teaches and performs.
