Ramya Harishankar, the award winning artistic director and choreographer for the Irvine based Arpana Dance Company will present her ‘Women in E’Motion’ on October 23rd at Mahea Uchiyama Center for International Dance in Berkeley. Please join us for this unique performance showcasing ‘Abhinaya’ or interpretive dance within the genre of Bharata Natyam, a classical Indian dance form that is a combination of the arts of the stage, music, poetry, color and rhythm.
